Visiting Scholar Stipend Rates and Allowances

ECA has prioritized ensuring the well-being of our participants through robust stipends and allowances that keep pace with inflation and the ever-increasing costs of living in the United States. As of the FY24 cohort, stipend levels and allowance rates have increased for all visiting scholars whose grants are funded by ECA.  Please find below a variety of resources outlining the new rates.

*Award ranges are driven by the cost of living in the host community and exclude any applicable monthly dependent insurance allowances (calculated at $240/month for 1 dependent and $419/month for 2 or more dependents), as well as the standard one-time allowances.
