The mission of the Fulbright Program is to promote mutual understanding between the people of the U.S. and the people of other nations. By sharing, you will:

  • Inspire other Fulbrighters to advance the Fulbright mission on their campuses, in their communities, and upon their return home.
  • Inspire citizens of the U.S. and of your home country to apply for Fulbright Programs.

Your photos or videos may be shared via official Fulbright social media, on the Fulbright Scholar website, the broader Fulbright Program website, or in other similar outlets. We appreciate all submissions, but please note that not all submissions can be shared through these media.

What Should You Share?

Consider focusing on how your Fulbright experience has impacted your host campus and community, or on how your Fulbright experience has impacted you. Share:

  • Photos that illustrate the value of your Fulbright experience. Try to capture high-quality, action-oriented photos of you and your fellow Fulbrighters advancing the Fulbright mission.
  • A “mini-documentary” about your Fulbright experience. A mini-documentary is a short (90 - 120 second) video that tells a story and is usually filmed using a smartphone.

 How Can You Share?

  • To share photos and videos, visit the Fulbright Source, complete the required fields as thoroughly as possible.  
  • Social Media: Fulbrighters may share their experiences on digital platforms. Recognizing the reach and impact of these media, the U.S. Department of State has provided Fulbright Social Media Guidelines. Fulbrighters are encouraged to connect with us on Facebook, X, and Instagram using #Fulbright. For more information about sharing your experience, visit the Fulbright Network page.

 Publications Resulting from Fulbright Program 

The Fulbright Foreign Scholar Board welcomes the publication and dissemination of content resulting from the usual channels of research and educational activities financed under the Fulbright Program. Fulbrighters should take care to avoid the impression that the U.S. government (and any agency representing it) or foreign government has endorsed the conclusions and approved contents of published work. 

Sample language to use: 

  • [Fulbrighter Name] gratefully acknowledges financial support for this (publication/project/research) by the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program, which is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and (add the name of the Fulbright Commission in your home country). Its contents are solely the responsibility of the author and do not necessarily represent the official views of the Fulbright program, the Government of the United States, or the (add Fulbright Commission’s name if applicable).
