Please note that, although the online information about the courses on the host institution website is partially in Spanish, most faculty in the School of Biology speak English, and the scholar will only be expected to teach in English. Detailed information about his/her tasks will be provided to candidates in a timely manner and in English after being selected.

Conduct policy-oriented research that addresses topics of common importance for the US-EU relationship and/or EU affairs and that is tenable in one, two, or three EU Member States. 

One American scholar will be selected for the Fulbright-Schuman Innovation Award, designed to support research at the intersection of policy and technology that can improve the transatlantic understanding of issues at the heart of the US-EU relationship.

Conduct research and/or collaborate with colleagues at Spanish and Greek academic and research institutions; teaching, preferably at the graduate level; or a combination of both.

Activities may include presenting lectures, seminars and workshops as arranged by host institutions or the Fulbright Commissions.

1. Teaching activity (up to 60% of grant activity).

1.1 Entrepreneurship and Innovation training programs:

Immerse yourself in Spain’s vibrant academic and research landscape by conducting groundbreaking research and collaborating with colleagues at leading Spanish universities and research institutions.

Objective:

A) Teaching undergraduate-level courses:

One or two courses already established at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M). Teach 6 ECTS (equivalent to a whole course, about 48 hours of teaching classes) towards a Bachelor’s degree. The Lecturer can choose to teach parts of courses within one of the UC3M Departments:
