CSIC is a research-performing organization, therefore the main activity will be research tasks. A small percentage of the candidate's working time (up to 20%) can be dedicated to some teaching activities, such as guest lectures, workshops, and seminars.

Please note that although much of the online information provided on the host institution's website is in Spanish, most faculty in the School of Marine Sciences speak English, and the scholar will only be expected to teach in English.

A) Teaching undergraduate-level courses (up to 40% of grant activity):

Conduct policy-oriented research that addresses topics of common importance for the US-EU relationship and/or EU affairs and that is tenable in one, two, or three EU Member States. 

One American scholar will be selected for the Fulbright-Schuman Innovation Award, designed to support research at the intersection of policy and technology that can improve the transatlantic understanding of issues at the heart of the US-EU relationship.
