The recipient of this Award is expected to give lectures and teach seminars and subject modules in the field of Computer Sciences, with a total workload of 192 hours to Bachelor's and Master's students of Computer Engineering and Informatics.

Conduct policy-oriented research that addresses topics of common importance for the US-EU relationship and/or EU affairs and that is tenable in one, two, or three EU Member States. 

One American scholar will be selected for the Fulbright-Schuman Innovation Award, designed to support research at the intersection of policy and technology that can improve the transatlantic understanding of issues at the heart of the US-EU relationship.

Support the development of the mission-oriented approach of the Atlantic International Research Centre (AIR Centre) in the context of the disciplines identified in the scope of the Atlantic Interactions initiative:

The selected scholar will participate in scientific consultancy and collaboration with the host in order to delineate research strategies, define and prioritize actions towards the improvement of ongoing projects and research areas, and/or the initiation of new lines of research.

Grant activity is flexible, depending on the Scholar's expertise. However, candidates are expected to work on ongoing research projects and to present seminars.

The selected scholar will research and teach subjects such as Marketing, Public Relations, Digital Film Production, Business Model Journalism and Digital Strategic Communications.

The grantee will carry out a program of research, as agreed with the Portuguese host institution.
