Since 1991, nearly 150 visiting fellows from over 25 countries have spent shorter or longer periods at the Institute, including many of the world's leading historians and political scientists. In connection with the Fellowship Program, research seminars are held throughout the spring.

This is primarily a research grant. The recipient of this award will conduct research related to evolving Arctic security/northern security and geopolitical concerns.

Digital Culture

The scholar will take part in the teaching and research activities of the Digital Culture program and the Digital Culture and Electronic Literature research groups in the Department of Linguistic, Literary and Aesthetic Studies at the University of Bergen.
Fulbright Distinguished Arctic Scholar Award

Research and teach within areas that are relevant to understanding of the Arctic and High North regions. The Distinguished Scholar is expected to engage with faculty inside and outside the host institution(s), give public lectures and lead seminars, as well as supervise and mentor Master’s and Ph.D. candidates with their research and writing.
