As part of your Fulbright grant, you are required to attend a virtual Pre-Departure Orientation (PDO) taking place from July 7 to 8, 2025. You will receive an email in early June with more information. If you have any questions regarding the PDO, please email FulbrightPDO.AF@iie.org.

Responsibilities of combined Teaching/Research awards are evenly divided between activities (50: 50 teaching to research). Activities may be organized by semester (1-semester teaching; 1-semester research) or carried out simultaneously.

Conduct research in up to three Sub-Saharan African countries. The Africa Regional Research Program (ARRP) has two overall objectives: (1) to increase or develop new contacts and intellectual ties between U.S.
