Journalism (Research)

Conduct research in applicant's area of specialization. Proposals must be feasible with respect to the applicant's qualifications and language abilities, as well as the proposed time frame.

Conduct research in area of specialization. Grantees are expected to submit a publishable report about their research within six months after the end of the grant. Applicants must demonstrate how their research will contribute to the Japan-U.S. relationship in their field and to their own professional development.

U.S.-Japan International Education Administrators Award

All applicants must meet the Program eligibility requirements (click to review the requirements).

Participate in a two-week group seminar designed to familiarize U.S. higher education administrators with Japan's higher education system, society and culture. The seminar consists of briefings, campus visits, appointments with select government officials, and meetings with Japanese international education professionals.
