This award supports independent or collaborative research and/or teaching projects at Brazilian universities, research institutes and NGOs in exceptional cases. The strategic goal of the U.S. Fulbright Scholar Program in Brazil is to support the internationalization process of the Brazilian higher education system.
Fulbright Distinguished Scholar Award in Medical Sciences

The Universidade de Sao Paulo Medical School (FMUSP) is looking for a scholar to interact with a multidisciplinary group of researchers in Transplants and Regenerative Medicine. The goal is to develop an international research project and promote collaboration between U.S. and Brazilian research groups.
Teaching activities, if any, should not exceed three hours per week.

The Fulbright Distinguished Scholar Awards, Interdisciplinary Network are pre-arranged affiliations to host exceptional scholars who conduct research relevant to any of six Brazilian partner universities countrywide. These partner universities are interested in hosting Distinguished Scholars and encouraging them to engage with students, faculty, and the broader community.
