Fulbright Network

Use this sample press release to announce your Fulbright award.

Be sure to describe what you will be doing using key words that will help people in your field to find and connect with you, and include a sentence about the impact that you anticipate your research or teaching will have. You can share it through all of your own channels, and be sure to give a completed press release to the news offices of your home and host institutions, so they can share the good news as well.

Add the Fulbright Program to the ‘Experience’ section on your LinkedIn profile.

  • On your profile page, click the '+' next to the 'Experience' section
  • Write the position title as '[Program Year] U.S. Scholar to [Host Country]'
  • Tag @The_Fulbright_Program. The Fulbright globe logo will appear as an icon. Be careful not to select the Fulbright Association or a Fulbright commission page. Include a brief explanation of your field or work in the 'Description' field.
