Scholar Liaison Network

The Fulbright Scholar Liaison Network is a community of higher education administrators, faculty and Fulbright Program alumni at campuses across the United States. Fulbright Scholar Liaisons work in every type of accredited institution of higher education and serve as the main point of contact for the Fulbright Scholar Program with American higher education.

Fulbright Scholar Liaisons facilitate increased participation in the Fulbright Scholar Program via institutional level support and peer to peer engagement.

The role of a Fulbright Scholar Liaison centers on five main activities:

  • Promote Fulbright Scholar Programs
  • Educate faculty & administrators about opportunities
  • Encourage candidates on campus
  • Recognize returned Fulbright grantees
  • Support the development of Fulbright- friendly institutional policies

There are over 1,600 designated Fulbright Scholar Liaisons on college and university campuses throughout the United States, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. This network of committed individuals is crucial to the promotion of the Fulbright Program to the U.S. higher education community.

Throughout the year Fulbright Scholar Liaisons attend and offer information at a variety of professional and academic conferences. They also attend Fulbright Scholar Liaison Trainings to learn best practices in supporting the Fulbright Program at their institutions.
