Congratulations on receiving a Fulbright grant! The resources on this page are designed to familiarize you with your host location and provide important context and information as you prepare to travel abroad. Orientation Information

As part of your Fulbright grant, you are required to attend a virtual Pre-Departure Orientation (PDO) from July 15-18, 2024. The PDO will provide sessions and activities to help you prepare for your upcoming experience. You will receive an email in mid-June that will direct you to the PDO website where you can register for the event. If you have any questions regarding the PDO, please email FulbrightPDO.AF@iie.org.

The Public Diplomacy Section (PDS) is responsible for managing the Fulbright program in Uganda. PDS offices are located at U.S. Embassy Kampala, Plot 1577, Ggaba Road, Kampala.

Teach undergraduate and, if offered, graduate courses in the area of specialization. Assist with curriculum development, supervise undergraduate and graduate students. Collaborate with faculty on research and conduct research in the area of specialization. Grantees should plan on a 50:50 ratio of time spent on teaching to research.
