The country has many UNESCO World Heritage sites, over 500 museums, and more than 3 million artifacts, presenting valuable opportunities for scholars, researchers, and anyone interested in history. In addition to its historical significance, Türkiye is known for its diverse landscapes and rich culinary traditions blending Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and Central Asian influences, offering endless opportunities.
Turkish is recognized as a Critical Language by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA). Fulbright grantees in Türkiye have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the language and culture while gaining insight into Türkiye’s role in the region.
Contending to be a global leader in education, innovation, and scientific research, Türkiye is home to more than 200 universities, offering a range of academic and research opportunities on modern campuses. Many Turkish universities are ranked highly in the world for disciplines such as engineering, architecture, business, and the social sciences according to Times WUR.
