Orientation Information

As part of your Fulbright grant, you are required to attend a virtual Pre-Departure Orientation (PDO) taking place from July 7 to 9, 2026. You will receive an email in early June with more information. If you have any questions regarding the PDO, please email FulbrightPDO.EUR@iie.org.

There are eight public universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the U.S. Embassy in Sarajevo has an ongoing collaboration with all. We do encourage U.S. applicants to try and affiliate with institutions of higher learning, i.e. public universities outside the country’s capital of Sarajevo with the largest and oldest university in the country.
